In accordance with Article 8th -11th of the Rules of the Rajko Koritnik International Singing Competition, the VoxArte Cultural and Artistic Association announces
THE 2ND RAJKO KORITNIK INTERNATIONAL SINGING COMPETITION
The competition will take place on 24 and 25 October 2026 in the hall of the Vinko Vodopivec Ajdovščina Music School, (Ulica 5. maja 7, Ajdovščin) and the Hall of the First Slovenian Government Ajdovščina, (Trg 1. slovenske vlade Ajdovščina) – Slovenia.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is open to singers of all nationalities.
The competition is open to women and men from the age of 19 (born in 2007).
There is no upper age limit.
COMPETITION PROCEDURE
The competition is held in two rounds and is open to the public.
The first round is the preliminary round and the second round is the final round.
The six highest-scoring contestants from the preliminary round advance to the final round. If the jury so decides, more contestants may advance to the final, but no more than ten.
The final selection takes place in the form of a concert.
COMPETITION PROGRAMME
PRELIMINARY ROUND:
2 operatic arias of the competitor’s choice
FINAL ROUND:
2 operatic arias of the competitor’s choice
Arias must be performed in the original language and tonality and in accordance with standard performing practice.
The competition programme cannot be changed after registration, nor can the competitor change the order of the arias indicated in the entry forms for the particular round.
REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITION
Competitors must register for the competition using the entry form published on the website.
The application must contain the required attachments:
– a copy of the receipt for payment of the application fee,
– a copy of the receipt for the hired accompanist (optional),
– a copy of the sheet music prepared for the performance programme,
– a short biography of the competitor,
– a vertical portrait photo,
– a copy of the identity card or passport,
– a copy of the signed application form.
HIRING AN OFFICIAL ACCOMPANIST
For competitors who will not have their own accompanist at the competition, the organiser of the competition allows to hire an official accompanist.
Competitors must indicate this on the entry form.
The fee for hiring an official accompanist is 70€.
All the expenses with the competitor’s own accompanist have to be covered by the competitor.
REHEARSAL WITH THE OFFICIAL ACCOMPANIST AND ACOUSTIC REHEARSAL
Rehearsals with an official accompanist are scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2026. On Friday, all contestants will have the opportunity to participate in an acoustic rehearsal in the preliminary round hall.
After the closing date, the organising committee will draw up a schedule of rehearsals with the official accompanist and acoustic rehearsals and publish the schedule on the Competition website.
On the day of the competition, competitors must report at the Music School Vinko Vodopivec Music School, Cesta 5. maja 7, Ajdovščina, at the agreed time, where they identify themselves at the registration desk with a valid ID, sign the registration form and receive further information.
Before the final performance on Sunday, October 25, all singers who have qualified for the final will have the opportunity to rehearse with an accompanist and conduct an acoustic rehearsal in the hall Hall of the First Slovenian Government Ajdovščina, where the final will take place.
The organiser reserves all rights regarding any limitation on the number of competitors, the composition of the competition schedule, the accompanist rehearsals and the acoustic rehearsals and any changes in this respect.
ORDER OF COMPETITORS
In establishing the order of competitors, we will follow the alphabetical order, starting with the letter ”Č’‘ drawn beforehand. We will take the letter of the first surname of the competitor indicated on the application form.
The order of competitors will be published on the competition website.

- award to a promising competitor under 25 years of age 300€

In case of cancellation, the registration fee and the accompanist’s fee are non-refundable.
